At the heart of Mercedes-Benz.io business operations, our Finance team is responsible for corporate finance, controlling, and procurement. We work closely with people, partners, and the business to enable smart, sustainable decision-making.

We are looking for a Head of Finance & Procurement to join us. In this role, you will lead our controlling, financial, and procurement operations, ensure high-quality reporting, support strategic decision-making, and enable efficient, compliant, and value-adding processes across the organization.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Provide strategic leadership and governance across Finance and Procurement

  • Advise and partner with Managing Directors and Executive Board members as a trusted co‑pilot on finance and procurement matters

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, cash management, and risk management activities

  • Ensure high-quality, timely statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP (SNC) and group consolidation requirements

  • Own month-end and year-end financial closing, coordinating with shared services, outsourced accounting, and treasury partners

  • Monitor financial performance by preparing and presenting monthly KPIs, insights, and recommendations to the CFO and executive leadership

  • Define and oversee procurement strategies, ensuring compliant and value-driven processes across sourcing, contracting, vendor management, and cost optimization

  • Maintain internal policies and ensure compliance with internal and external requirements

  • Represent Finance & Procurement in strategic discussions, risk assessments, and financial governance forums

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary Finance & Procurement team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and growth

  • Be responsible for hiring, onboarding and offboarding, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes within the team

TO SUCCEED YOU NEED

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; local CPA certification is strongly preferred

  • Native-level Portuguese and fluent English (C1), written and spoken is mandatory

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management including people leadership

  • Strong experience in financial statement preparation, management reporting, and in-depth financial analysis

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels

  • Medium to advanced MS Excel skills and basic experience with Power Automate

  • Ability to align financial strategies with broader business objectives

  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to inspire trust and build strong relationships

  • High ability to learn and operate effectively in a hybrid setup

  • Have experience in procurement or close collaboration with procurement functions

  • Have worked with AI tools for predictive forecasting, reporting automation, or process optimization
