We are the Central UX/UI teams at Mercedes-Benz.io, a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz. We shape the future digital identity of Mercedes-Benz Omnichannel Commerce and deliver user centered designs for our products and digital services. 

This is a hands-on working student (f/m/x) position focused on Project Management and Design Communication for our central UX/UI teams. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Own and drive dedicated UX/UI topics with cross‑team relevance, from scoping and planning to execution, in alignment with the UI/UX Operations Manager, the Design System & Information Architecture team

  • Independently manage defined UX/UI related initiatives including:

    • clarifying objectives and success criteria

    • coordinating required stakeholders

    • tracking progress, risks, and dependencies

    • ensuring outcomes are delivered and documented

  • Design and implement communication concepts & learning formats for the Mercedes-Benz Design System (e.g. guidelines, playbooks, or onboarding material)

  • Collaborate closely with the UI/UX Operations Manager as a sparring partner and mentor, while maintaining clear ownership and accountability for your assigned topics

TO SUCCEED YOU NEED

  • To be enrolled in a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree course in information design, communication design, media business, graphic design, media design, or similar

  • Knowledge of standard UI/UX design tools (Figma & Adobe Creative Suite) and ability to push some pixels as well as work with vectors  

  • Professional attitude regarding communication and deadlines 

  • Creativity with good attention to detail 

  • To be autonomous and self-organized 

  • Excellent English and good German language skills

  • You have expertise in a agile working environment (SAFe) 

  • You have knowledge of Product/ Project Management

  • You have the ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and stakeholders
