Representing Mercedes-Benz.io at SINFO: A Journey of Learning, Collaboration, and Connection
This year, I had the privilege of representing Mercedes-Benz.io at SINFO as a speaker, sharing who we are as a company and what we do.
It was an incredible experience—filled with excitement, learning, and of course, some technical hiccups! Because let’s be honest…. no talk is a real talk without an issue. This time, it was the sound. Imagine showing our company values video to the audience… only for them to hear complete silence!! A classic moment.
But this was also a great learning opportunity - how to react to unexpected issues and overcome challenges on the spot. Thankfully, I had my colleagues there to support me, helping to quickly find and resolve the problem. With a courageous smile and teamwork, everything was sorted! This moment perfectly reflected one of Mercedes-Benz.io’s core values — collaboration. It was a reminder that even in unexpected situations, having the right support system and working together makes all the difference.
Despite the challenges, the energy in the room made it all worthwhile, and the experience turned out to be both rewarding and fun.
Meeting Industry Experts and Future Innovators
Another great part of the event was connecting with professionals from various backgrounds. I met individuals working in AI, mathematics, and data science — fields that are becoming increasingly critical in the tech industry.
The presence of AI students particularly stood out, as artificial intelligence continues to drive major advancements across industries, including automotive, cybersecurity, and customer experience. Similarly, mathematicians and data scientists are playing a crucial role in optimising algorithms, predictive analytics, and decision-making processes. Engaging with these professionals and students highlighted the growing intersection between Mercedes-Benz.io’s work and these emerging trends.
The Joy of Showcasing Our Work
One of the biggest takeaways how much I enjoy representing Mercedes-Benz.io. Talking about our work, our mission, and our role in the industry felt truly meaningful. It's always great to see people getting curious about what we do and asking insightful questions — it reminds me why we are so passionate about our work.
I also noticed a strong presence of students from mechanics, information security, and data fields. It’s a reflection of where the tech industry is heading, with an increasing focus on cybersecurity, data-driven solutions, and automation. Seeing so many future professionals interested in these areas reinforced how important these fields are becoming and how they will shape the future of technology. These students are the future — driving Mercedes-Benz.io forward with fresh ideas and innovations that will define our next steps.
The Future of Mercedes-Benz.io: Expanding Possibilities
It was also amusing to hear that many attendees assumed Mercedes-Benz.io was already deep into Manufacture and R&D projects related to car mechanics and infotainment**. While we aren’t there yet, who knows what the future holds? The fact that people naturally associate our company with these areas is an encouraging sign that there’s potential to grow in that direction.**
The Value of Genuine Connections
Beyond the discussions, what stood out the most was the power of genuine engagement — even random people who took the opportunity to learn more about Mercedes-Benz.io.
It’s one thing to give a talk, but it’s another to truly connect with people — whether it’s students curious about career paths or professionals discussing industry challenges. These moments of interaction are what make events like SINFO so valuable. They remind us that beyond the tech, beyond the business goals, what really matters is the people we meet, the ideas we share, and the inspiration we take home.
Looking Back: A Memorable Experience
SINFO was a great experience, and despite the sound hiccup, I wouldn’t change a thing. It was a fantastic opportunity to represent Mercedes-Benz.io, learn from others, and be part of an event that brings the tech community together. I can’t wait for the next one!
In the end, it's always important to connect and engage — even if it's just to hand out giveaways and gifts (at least two people were definitely just there for a gift!). Mercedes-Benz.io's merchandise will travel far and wide, making its way into the world, even beyond just students. 😆
