HUSTEF 2025: An Overview
In October I had the pleasure of joining the program of one of Europe's most renowned conferences: HUSTEF. The conference takes place every year in Budapest, Hungary, and I have to say that I was quite impressed by what I saw there.

I Don’t Have Friends, I Got Family
I’m going to start with this Fast and Furious quote, because I must talk about the people I met at HUSTEF.
It was my first time attending this conference, so I was not sure what to expect, but what I found was something that I will never forget: a passionate and warm community. From the organizers to the speakers and attendees, I’ve never felt so welcomed or so connected to a conference group as I felt at HUSTEF. Lots of gratitude for this group!
A Hands-On Tutorial
Now, talking about the conference itself, I was selected by the program committee to conduct a half-day tutorial called “Automated Tests with Cypress: From Zero to Hero”.
During those 3 hours (actually, a bit more), I had the opportunity to guide the attendees through the fundamentals of test automation using Cypress. We started with the basics but also covered advanced topics like API testing and CI/CD integration.
The group was not so big (6-7 people), what gave me the chance to sit next to them and give them more support. To be honest, seeing their faces enlightening when they saw their code doing something nice… is priceless!
An All-Star Program
The program committee did an impressive job curating the speakers. Everyone was so good that the hardest part at HUSTEF was choosing which track to follow since there were 3-4 happening at the same time.
There was a good diversity of topics: Automation, API and Performance Testing, Test Reporting, Testing Strategy, Leadership… there was truly something for everyone. But AI was clearly the star of the show. It’s still a hot topic in our community, and several talks explored how we can leverage AI to level up our work and boost efficiency.
The End Note
HUSTEF 2025 was a pleasant surprise. I met the most awesome group there, had the chance to guide a small but motivated group, I was even a podcaster for a day... but above all, I felt truly welcomed and embraced by this community. If you must choose one QA conference 2026, HUSTEF is definitively the place!

What follows is how we’re doing that — and why it matters.
